Thurgood Marshall

Thurgood Marshall was an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme court, serving from October 1967 until October 1991. He was the 96th and the first African American Justice (nominated to the Supreme Court by President Lyndon Johnson). Before becoming a judge he was best known for his high success rate of arguing before the Supreme Court and for the victory in the Brown v. Board Education. He had established a record for supporting the voiceless American.
